Giant Honey Bun Cake

Basically a giant honey bun that is cut and served just like a cake! It’s made using my easy 7 ingredient roll dough with added honey and filled with a buttery cinnamon sugar filling. Covered in a gooey honey icing for that perfect glazed crispy top, it’s super simple to make!

We start by activating the yeast and then mixing this in with our dry ingredients, leaving it to rise to create perfectly sweet pillowy soft dough. Just like normal honey buns, the dough is rolled flat and filled with buttery cinnamon sugar, however it is cut into strips and rolled into one another to create a giant honey bun. It is then left to rise again before being baked until golden and covered in a crispy honey glaze.
