Dulce de Leche Cake (Golden Key Cake)


Four layers of possibly the softest caramel-infused sponge layered with caramel buttercream and even more dulce de leche before being decorated with hazelnuts.


We’ve got Dulce de Leche in every single part of this cake which is basically thick, gooey caramel made by heating sweetened condensed milk.





Dulce de Leche Cake (Golden Key Cake)


For this recipe, you won’t need any eggs and you can also use dairy-free ingredients if you have them to hand! 


We start by making my one-bowl sponge sweetened with both brown sugar and dulce de leche for that gorgeous moist and creamy texture. Between each layer is a spoonful of dulce de leche before being wrapped in a creamy caramel buttercream. Finished with a sprinkling of hazelnuts the result is the softest Golden Key Cake.
